1. How did you get the job for "Halloween 2"?
Dick originally went in for a stunt-job for H2 and found the mask on Rick Rosenthal's desk, put it on and before he knew it, he got the part as "The Shape". For more specific information of Dick's involvement in "Halloween 2 and 3", please visit the "HalloweeN" link which for now is still under construction.

  2. How long have you been a stuntman and what prompted you to be one?
Dick started doing live stunt shows in 1957. In the Biography link, it gives a full-detail of what he exactly did there. Dick was a young child about age 9, playing "Cowboys and Indians" which he developed his taste for Hollywood. He moved to California and began writing letters to big studios seeking to be a stunt-double for Dickie Jones. No response, as he was only 14 years of age at the time!

  3. Have you ever been injured doing stunts?
Once suffered a separated shoulder while working on the film "Rollerball". He has never broke a bone while working, only when dirt biking with his son's a while back.

  4. Were you really Kurt Russell's stunt-double for a long time? Do you still see him today? And do you have an address where I can write to him?
Dick was his double for almost every film of his until "Tango and Cash". Dick had given up smoking by then, and gained a little weight and then "passed the torch" to someone else. Dick remarks that Kurt is every bit as capable of doing stunts like any stuntman, but its the big studios and insurance companies that would feel at ease of using stuntmen. Dick does keep in touch with Kurt from time to time and does not have any contact information of Kurt Russell to supply. Sorry.

  5. Have you doubled for anyone else besides Kurt?
Dick has for Dean Jones, Joe Flynn, Buddy Hackett, Michele Lee, Helen Hayes, David Naughton, and a host of other character actors. With being in the business for 37 years, there are many!!
